QUIZ: Did newly elected Virginia governor Ralph Northam say it?
WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) -- Virginia elected a new governor on Tuesday after choosing Democratic candidate Ralph Northam.
Before Election Night on Tuesday, various national pundits were watching the race very closely as a key barometer of how the country is feeling one year into President Trump's term.
CNN referred to it as "the big-ticket race on the ballot." The Associated Press also said Virginia's election "stands as a test for the anti-Donald Trump resistance, and whether it can energize voters and donors for the less glamorous races featuring traditional Democratic politicians."
Northam has been elected as governor in a state that has also voted for George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama in past elections. How much do you know about past statements made by Northam?
Take this quiz and decide whether Northam said it or his Republican opponent Ed Gillespie did. Share your results with your friends on social media. If you're reading this on your phone, click here.
