Weather damage reported, over 55,000 without power in NEPA

Extreme weather damage in Honesdale.

Reports of weather damage and power outages has kept emergency crews extremely busy across our area following NEPA's tornado warning and severe thunderstorm warning Tuesday.

Multiple fire departments responded to downed wires and trees.

Clarks Summit Police Department and others are asking for the public's patience as emergency responders and electrical companies attempt to clean up the damage and recover power from the storm.

According to the PPL Outage Map, there are over 55,000 power outages across of NEPA Tuesday just after 4 p.m.
