WILKES-BARRE (WOLF-TV) -- Wilkes-Barre K-9 officer Chase is back on the job.
He returned Thursday after several months off the job.
Chase was taken out of service in January after concerns over his temperament after he bit three people.
One of those instances led to a lawsuit.
"We just, as a precautionary measure, I got an insurance background, so you want to be careful about liability. So, we pulled the dog off at that point to have it checked out. The other dog was being re-trained because there was a change in handlers," City Administrator Ted Wampole said.
Chase has been retrained, while his counterpart Skoty is in the process of being retrained and will be back on the streets soon.
