Teen killed in 3-way car crash on RT 309



    A 19-year-old died in a car crash Wednesday around 9 a.m. while driving southbound on Route 309 in West Penn Township.

    West Penn Police Department says Nicholas Sadusky tried to pass two vehicles going northbound.

    Sadusky sideswiped the first vehicle going northbound and then continued going south in the northbound lane and hit a second vehicle head-on.

    Police say the drivers of the two vehicles hit were wearing their seatbelts, but Sadusky was not wearing his.

    Sadusky was killed on impact and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

    Authorities say the driver of the second vehicle hit was life-flighted to an area hospital for serious injuries. The current condition of the driver is unknown.

    The driver of the first vehicle hit was transported to a local hospital.

    West Penn Police Department is still investigating.
