SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A rally against interpersonal violence and sexual assault was held this evening at the University of Scranton.
"Take Back the Night" is a national rally that takes place each April.
The Jane Kopas Women’s Center hosted activities on campus, including informational tables, and displayed the clothesline project.
That project is a way for the members of the University community to express experiences visually.
"Students can create a shirt, write something on it, their experiences or whatever they choose to put on them. Each shirt symbolizes a different experience an individual has had. We don't know who it is from, they just drop them off" says Ariana Flores, a junior student worker at the Kopas Center.
This was the 33rd time the event took place, with at least 10 years of the University hosting.
