SCRANTON,LACKAWANNA CO .(WOLF) — Students from the University of Scranton spent their Sunday morning packing 150 baskets filled with all the fixings needed to create a traditional thanksgiving dinner at the Friends of the Poor Warehouse in Scranton.
The student volunteers later distributed the baskets directly to the families in need in Valley View, Bangor, or Hilltop.

“ We’ve collected money from the University of Scranton, and cash donations to purchase everything, and it’s a great collaborative fun event for our students.” Said Pat.
Officials at the University of Scranton say events like these as they allow students to learn the importance of giving back to the community.
