Stroudsburg boy's basketball

A 45-minute trip from Dunmore to Stroudsburg is worth the gas when it comes to the new coach of the Mounties….

Stroudsburg Coach Joe Ferguson said “ Oh I brought coach Macciocco with me one of the greatest basketball minds and teachers of the game. For me it has been a great experience.”

For the players, the new coach has brought a fresh look on playing the game.

Senior Colin Brady says " in the first couple of weeks it was kind of hard but has time goes on we are learning it and picking it up a lot faster and stuff."

Senior Tyler Henry added " I love the coaching staff. A lot of new plays, pick system, big changes in the system more fine print, a lot of a detail defensively offensively. Definitely nit picking everything about every team."

The Mounties will rely on 7 returners including their big man in the middle, Colin Brady…

Senior Savion Jackson said " I think he is one of the best bigs in the EPC and then we got Tyler henry , I think he is the best shooter."

Ferguson added "Savion Jackson is playing for three years, he went for 22 against Nazareth. He can get the ball in the basket. Then we have Edwin Ferreras our floor general did a great job, he scored double figures the other night and then we have Marcin who is another senior who does all of our dirty work."

Last season the Mountaineers finished 13 and 10 and in their place in the Eastern Pennsylvania conference. This season with a new coaching staff in place and a talented senior class, Stroudsburg’s ceiling for success is high….

Henry added " our goals are definitely to win district, EPC’s basically do a whole lot of winning that is what we need."

Brady added " the sky is the limit you know we can do anything if we work hard."
