State Police: Ongoing death investigation in Ashley

UPDATE: The coroner's office tells FOX56 that Brian Breymeier's cause of death was a stab wound to the chest.

His manner of death is pending the police investigation.

UPDATE: Breymeier's live-in girlfriend, Haley Rimmer, filed a protection from abuse application against him on April 26, 2018.

In the application, Rimmer states that Breymeier has physically abused her several times.

Rimmer says that on April 26, 2018, he woke her up screaming and spitting on her because her ex-husband texted her.

She continued saying that Breymeier was pushing and shoving her and threatened to destroy everything if she left.

The restraining order then shows that he grabbed a knife to slice the couch she was sitting on and tried to slice the tires on her car.

Breymeier's mother reportedly showed up and he started slicing himself with the knife as the cops arrived.

According to court documents, Rimmer withdrew Breymeier's restraining order on May 3, 2018.

Breymeier worked at Medico Industries, according to the PFA.
