UPDATE | Coroner ID's skeletal remains found in Dickson City
UPDATE: The Lackawanna County coroner has identified the skeletal remains found in Dickson City Friday as 20-year-old Titus Thompson from Scranton.
He died from a gunshot wound to the head. The manner of death is suicide, according to the coroner.
Thompson been missing since July.
ORIGINAL STORY:The Lackawanna County Coroner believes the skeletal remains found in Dickson City Friday belong to a 20-year-old male from Scranton.
If the teeth profile matches dental records, a name could be released soon.
If that ID is not definitively conclusive, DNA results could take months.
The remains were found in a wooded area between Commerce Boulevard and Putnam Circle.
Dickson City Police are continuing to investigate.
