School districts receive active shooter response kits
Two area school districts are better prepared to deal with an event none of them hopes ever happens.
On Thursday night, Dallas Area and Lake-Lehman School Districts received active shooter response kits.
It includes 600 crisis lanyards, tourniquets, and pressure dressings.
"At any given moment, an emergency can happen. So, there's no level of preparation that's enough preparation. So, it's very important," Tracey Liparela, Assistant Superintendent of the Lake-Lehman School District said.
The Back Mountain Police Association and an anonymous donor donated the kits.
