Police seek suspect after woman 'launched into the air' during hit-and-run in parking lot

Update 5/25/23: Police have released a photo of the suspect wanted in connection to Sunday's hit-and-run in a Wilkes-Barre Township parking lot.

According to police, Tatiana Delgado's vehicle was used in the accident in the Sam's Club parking lot that caused serious injury to an elderly woman on Sunday.

Officers are asking that if you know her or see her, contact Wilkes-Barre Township Police by calling 570-606-4791, texting 570-760-0215, messaging their Facebook page, or emailing Capparell@twp.wilkesbarre.pa.us.

A woman was seriously injured after being hit by a car in the Sam's Club parking lot on Sunday, and police say the suspect is on the run.

On Sunday around 5:35 PM, police say a black Jeep with a garbage bag on the rear driver's side window and a paper temporary tag struck an elderly female and fled, knowing they had hit the person.

The victim was launched into the air from the force of the impact and landed on the ground causing substantial injury, according to officials.
