Police: Two wanted for "chemically altering" money orders
Police in Williamsport are searching for a man and woman who they believe are involved in fraudulent money orders.
A U.S. Postal Service Inspector told authorities the following:
"It was advised that fraudulent money orders which were purchased in New York for $18 are being chemically altered as $500 money orders and are being illegally cashed in the Williamsport, Scranton, and surrounding areas."
According to the U.S. Postal Service, Tatyana Mitchell and Raddee Foye, were identified as suspects.
Both are 19-years-old. Mitchell is described as a black female and Foye is described as a black male.
Officials say they are driving around in a light blue 2002 VW Sedan.
Anybody having contact with Mitchell and Foye or who deal with fraudulent money orders should contact 911.
