Police investigate shooting near barber shop in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE CO, (WOLF) — Police responded to a shooting near a Wilkes-Barre barbershop on Thursday afternoon.

Our newsgathering partners at the Times Leader were at the scene and say there was a pool of blood at the front door of the New Flow Barber Shop Pa at the corner of Academy Street and Carey Avenue.

It was not immediately clear whether or not the shooting happened at the barbershop. Witnesses reported to the Times Leader that the victim may have been driven to an area hospital in a private car.
