Police: Fisherman fights two troopers

MONROETON, BRADFORD COUNTY (WOLF) -- Police say a fisherman became violent during a patrol at the Monroeton bridge.

Troopers say they asked Casey House, 30, Monreton, to display his fishing license on Monday, when he started reaching for his pocket.

The criminal complaint says a trooper saw a knife on House's hip, and grabbed his arm, telling him he was going to do a pat-down, and then House ran into the water.

Police say House kept pulling one trooper into the water and also hit him, and a second trooper was submerged up to his neck. during the struggle, but House was eventually arrested.

Troopers say it turned out he had drug paraphernalia in his pockets.

House's bail was set at $75,000 and he faces several charges, including two counts of aggravated assault.
