POCONO SUMMIT, MONROE COUNTY (WOLF) -- A 13-year-old boy has died after a drowning incident in Stillwater Lake Sunday afternoon.
Pocono Mountain Regional Police say they responded to Stillwater Drive around 3 p.m. for a possible drowning.
Due to poor visibility, officials and numerous people were having trouble searching for 13-year-old Devin Marrillo, of Pocono Summit, in the water.
Officers performed a search operation and found Marrillo in about 10 feet of water.
He received CPR and was rushed to the Lehigh Valley Hopsital-Pocono in critical condition, according to Police Chief Wagner.
Wagner says Marrillo was then airlifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for further care.
The Lehigh County coroner says Marrillo was pronounced dead at the hospital Monday at 9:18 a.m.
An autopsy is scheduled Tuesday to determine the exact cause of death.
