PLEASANT VALLEY, MONROE COUNTY (WOLF) — UPDATE: The external lockdown against the Pleasant Valley School District has been lifted.
State police say the threat against the Pleasant Valley High School was an "elaborate hoax" and is not believed to be credible.
All schools are back to normal operation.
ORIGINAL: The Pleasant Valley School District is operating under an external lockdown due to a threat Thursday morning.
The district's superintendent tweeted around 9:30 a.m. saying the potential threat was directed at the high school.
No one is allowed in or out of the high school until the lockdown is lifted.
Classes are still running as normal.
There is no word yet on what the potential threat was.
