Paul and Lisa DeAngelo Foundation to present 40k to local youth sports teams
HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WOLF) — A few local youth sports teams will be recipients of a generous donation from one local family.
The Paul and Lisa DeAngelo Family Foundation will present a total of 40 thousand dollars to eight local youth sports organizations this upcoming Sunday.
The funds were raised at their very first Annual Independence Day Charity Event.
The DeAngelo Family is matching all funds raised for the event.
"We want to thank the overwhelming amount of people that came out and supported this first annual event. this first year, it was just incredible, we're thrilled by the overwhelming support of the community so we certainly thank everyone who participated and helped out to make it a huge success," said Paul DeAngelo.
100% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to support the local Autism community and Curing Kids Cancer.
The family says they plan to host another Independence Day Charity Event on July 3rd of next year.
