Officials address problem properties in Pittston

Officials in Pittston City were out taking care of problem properties Tuesday.

Mayor Mike Lombardo tells us the neighborhood impact team was on Tompkins Street looking for code violations.

Crews tore down this vacant home.

It's all part of the administration's effort to clean-up the city.

“About 37 citations were issued,” Lombardo said.

“The citations range probably from some minor things to more significant things. Also, in addition to that, there was one order of condemnation,” he added.

Crews plan to patrol other streets in the near future.
