Mike Linden's Forecast | Staying wet through early next week
As if a stormy Tuesday wasn't enough Mother Nature continues to bring (a lot) of rain to NEPA.
We should see showers becoming lighter and more scattered into the evening hours but the moisture isn't going anywhere. It's that reason why we'll likely see some fog develop overnight especially in the lower valleys; take it easy out there.
Our active pattern continues into Thursday but a bit of sunshine by the afternoon should help bump the region back into the low 70s. We're essentially at the mercy of a stationary front sitting along the southern PA border. As the front wobbles north and south rain showers will continue to stick around.
Friday looks like the messier of the next few days and should look a lot like Tuesday; wet, overcast and cooler than normal. Keep those umbrellas and rain jackets at the ready.
If you were planning on getting any yard work done this weekend I'd have a plan B ready just in case. We won't get much of a break over Saturday and Sunday either as thunderstorms roll back into the region.
Our next shot at calmer, sunnier conditions look like early next week. Maybe instead of yard work it's time for Spring cleaning inside the house? Just a thought...
