Man dies in tractor-trailer crash on highway

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WOLF) -- Police say a truck driver is dead after a crash on I-80.

It happened around 10 a.m. on the eastbound side near Mile 258, west of the I-80/I-81 intersection.

Police say Robert Sephton, 61, Jermyn, was driving in the left lane when he went off the road and crashed into a tree.

The tractor-trailer, which was carrying wooden pallets, then caught fire.

Workers were still there several hours later, working on removing the wreckage of the truck.
