Man arrested in Carbon Co. facing drug and weapon charges

A man was taken into custody Saturday afternoon after being busted with drugs and a pistol.

Lansford Police say John Cambria-Raygoza was pulled over by an officer who was aware of him having a suspended driver's license.

The officer smelled an odor of marijuana and got consent to search the vehicle by the female passenger, who owned the vehicle, according to the criminal complaint.

Lansford PD say they seized a stolen handgun, $940 in cash, a digital scale with residue, 5.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 40 wax bags containing suspect heroin, and 7 grams of suspected marijuana from the vehicle's backseat in bags.

The female passenger told police that Cambria-Raygoza placed the bags in her car when she picked him up.

The criminal complaint says Cambria-Raygoza did not claim to the drugs and pistol.

Lansford PD say he is charged with possession with intent to deliver meth and heroin, receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number and possession of marijuana.

Cambria-Raygoza is currently at the Carbon County Prison unable to post $75,000 bail.

The police department shared that this is its third major anti-drug/anti-crime operation in the last 30 days.
