Man arrested after girl, 3, dies

PORT ORANGE, Fla. (WOLF) -- A man wanted for homicide in Berwick, Columbia County, has been arrested in Florida.

U.S. Marshals say they took Michael Crimi, 19, into custody in the 1100 block of Button Bush Court in Port Orange, Florida.

On Tuesday, police put out a warrant for his arrest, charging him with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of children.

He was wanted in connection with the death of Isabella Brown, 3, who died back in November, police said.

On Nov. 25 around noon, police were sent to a second-floor apartment at 1126 Freas Avenue for an unresponsive three-year-old, police chief Kenneth Strish said in a statement.

Multiple injuries to the child's head were spotted by doctors and police. Brown was taken to Geisinger, where she died on Nov. 28.

Crimi was taken to the Volusia County Prison and will be extradited back to Pennsylvania to face charges. Port Orange police assisted.
