LUZERNE CO., (WOLF) — Officials with Lehigh Valley Hazleton hospital say the vast majority of their coronavirus patients are unvaccinated.
79% as of right now
There were 35 coronavirus patients at their hospital on Friday, including 2 on ventilators.
Officials also say they're struggling to keep up with the testing demand.
Terry Purcell, President of LVHN Northwest Region, said:
Luzerne County continues to see a dramatic increase in cases. On Wednesday we had over 700 new positive cases and the pandemic has come back and it has come back very strong.
Doctors believe case numbers will rise even more before they decrease.
