Kurlancheek Home Furnishings condemned from tornado, demolished
One of the eight buildings condemned from last week's tornado in Wilkes-Barre Township has been demolished.
The demolition of Kurlancheek Home Furnishings on Mundy Street started around 11 a.m. Friday.
Owner Ronne Kurlancheek says their employees were able to salvage electronic and paper files after the tornado touched down and hit the building.
All merchandise located in the building during the storm was lost.
The company has set up a temporary office and warehouse on Wyoming Avenue in Edwardsville.
Kurlancheek tells FOX56 that the demolition is just the beginning of their new business.
