Governor Wolf joins in "A Conversation with the Governor"

SCRANTON (WOLF) -- Governor Tom Wolf stopped by Scranton Thursday to participate in a dialogue with the Scranton Chamber of Commerce.

The main topic for conversation included business conversion.

In a Q&A session with local leaders, Governor Wolf hoped to address some concerns facing the Commonwealth.

Namely - how to invigorate businesses in the state and create innovation.

Governor Wolf says that major companies looking to open new facilites - like Amazon - are looking for great quality of life.

He also says it's important to connect jobs and education - and make education more relevant for the needs of a modern workforce.

"Rather than 'how good are you in English," what does your employer two years out think of the preparation you had at Scranton High? That's an interesting question and I'm pretty sure we're not asking that enough," he said.

He also touched on the state's health care.
