COVINGTON TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WOLF) -- A man is charged after allowing his 11-year-old daughter to drive home as he was drunk.
The Wayne County District Attorney Patrick Robinson says Sean Hannon, 49, of Dunmore, was found guilty Tuesday.
Hannon let his daughter drive 10 miles home on Drinker Turnpike in Covington Township before she crashed into a tree.
Officials say he had a blood alcohol content of .228%.
The 11-year-old was swerving, ran a stop sign, and ran a car off the road over county lines as her father reportedly directed her.
Hannon's 8-year-old son was also in the car.
The district attorney says a Good Samaritan saw the incident and took Hannon's keys from the car.
He is facing child endangerment, DUI, and other related charges.
