JENKINS TWP, LUZERNE CO, (WOLF) — Democratic Congressman Matt Cartwright held his first campaign rally in Luzerne County on Saturday.
It was held at the United Food and Commerical Workers Local 1776 hall in Jenkins Township.
He talked about inflation and what he's doing to try to combat that, along with rising prices for just about everything these days.
This was a chance for me to remind my supporters of our priorities. I wanted to bring it home to them the bipartisan nature of the work that I've been doing because I promised to work with both sides of the aisle. Let's face it, you have to do that if you're going to get things done, and we have a lot done a lot of great things for NEPA. My plan is to keep it going, and we have a lot further to go to get back to our formal glory in NEPA.
He also took a swipe at his Republican opponents saying they are trying to divide Americans and now the time to bring Americans together.
