AG slams basin commissions
Auditor General Eugene DePasquale has released new audits for the Susquehanna River and Delaware River basin commissions.
DePasquale slammed them for a $1001 booze bill, extravagant food expenses and some staff perks.
He emphasized the need for better accountability and transparency.
The commissions preserve water supply and quality, manage droughts and floods, and preserve recreational opportunities.
In addition to getting taxpayer support, the fees charged by the commissions impact the rates PA pays for municipal water and other services.
