Brian Sheehan reports for FOX56 News First at 10 and is thrilled to be back in his home state of Pennsylvania. Brian was born and raised just down the turnpike in Bucks County, where he lived with his parents and two brothers.
Before coming to Wilkes-Barre, Brian worked as the executive producer and host for The Daily Meal in New York City. Some of his most memorable moments from his time there include his sit-down interviews with Lionel Richie and Sammy Hagar, and being the first multimedia journalist to tour the Chobani yogurt plant in Idaho.
Prior to New York, Brian worked at WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg, Virginia. During his time there, he was one of three anchors and two producers for the station’s award-winning morning newscast. He also reported for the station’s noon newscast three days a week, and produced and anchored the other two days.
Brian began his journalism career as a writer for a local newspaper in the Philadelphia area when he was just 15-years-old. He wrote a column called “Young America” that highlighted controversial issues among the area’s youth.
Brian graduated from Temple University’s School of Media and Communication and is a proud Owl!
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and his Goldendoodle, Sophie - or relaxing at the Jersey Shore.
