Alex Belser is telling your stories as a reporter for the FOX56 News First at Ten. We are bringing a new voice in news coverage to Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania!
Previously, Alex handled the DuBois region beat for the Altoona-based WTAJ. He covered several breaking news stories and also reported live from such events as Groundhog Day and the Clearfield County Fair.
Alex grew up on Long Island where he began his reporting career at LI News Tonight and has also reported for work at 2 a.m. as a news writer in New Orleans. This tested his ability to get up and get ready for work while in the middle of a REM sleep cycle.
As a teenager, he remembers traveling through Wilkes-Barre and seeing a sign that said no cruising was allowed around Public Square. He wondered about why that was there. Little did he know that this area would become his future home!
Alex enjoys eating pierogis, volunteering, and attending local events. He came to the Keystone State after working for KTEN and KXII in the Sherman/Denison/Ardmore area, where he reported on news stories in both Texas and Oklahoma. Yee haw!
