Teen arrested after man shot in face
PLYMOUTH, LUZERNE COUNTY (WOLF) -- Police say they've found the man who shot someone in the face in Plymouth, near a church.
Azijamere Carmichael, 18, is a suspected gang member, police said.
The criminal complaint says the victim stopped his car to change the radio station Tuesday around 11:45 p.m. near Eno and Willow Street.
That's when Carmichael tried to rob him through the passenger side door and shot him in the mouth, after the victim reached for his own gun, the complaint states.
When officers found Carmichael on Cherry St. on Thursday around 3 p.m., police say he ran twice, causing both himself and Officer Jesus Marmolejos to fall down an embankment during a chase.
Then, Carmichael bit Marmolejos's arm, police said. Marmolejos was treated and released.
The shooting victim was hit in the jaw area and will still need more surgery, police said.
Carmichael is facing new charges of aggravated assault and robbery as of Friday night, and now has a total bail of $200,000.
He had preivously been jailed Thursday night in the officer assault and escape case.
