State Police: Tunkhannock man flees from police, still at large
TUNKHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, WYOMING COUNTY (WOLF) —
A man from Tunkhannock has an active warrant out for his arrest after he fled from police in Wyoming County Sunday.
State police say Joshua Crawford, 31, failed to stop as officers attempted to pull his vehicle over around 2:15 p.m. on Stony Mountain Road.
It was known that Crawford had a suspended license due to a DUI-related stop two days prior, according to authorities.
Officers pursued Crawford on multiple roadways and saw a 7-year-old in the backseat of his vehicle before a trooper yelled out the window at him to stop.
Police say Crawford slowed and fled out of the window, running into a wooded area.
Law enforcement were unable to find Crawford in the woods.
PSP out of Tunkhannock say Crawford is currently on probation and remains at large.
If anyone has any information on Crawford's whereabouts, they are asked to contact PSP Tunkhanock at 570-836-2141.
Officials say Nicole Sands, 30, of Tunkhannock, was a passenger in his vehicle at the time and was taken into custody.
She is facing child endangerment charges, according to the press release.
Wyoming County Children & Youth Services assisted with transferring the 7-year-old to a family member.
