Special Olympics season wraps up at King's College
WILKES-BARRE (WOLF) —
After a season of hardwork, members of the Special Olympics at King's College got to celebrate.
Tuesday night they had a ceremony and each athlete got a medal.
Kids have been meeting every Tuesday for the past 8 weeks to play sports.
"This is honestly my favorite time of the year because you just see the sheer joy and excitement of all the hardwork they put in coming into this peak at the end of the season. And it's just so happy and joyous to see all of them happy and smiling getting their medals at the end of the day," said Will Cameron of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.
Kings College had roughly 50 students help coach this years Special Olympics.
