Second rape charge filed against hotel manager
HAZLE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WOLF) -- A hotel manager in Hazle Township is facing another rape charge, this time involving a second alleged victim.
Police say Pratap Bonepalli, 37, was the live-in front desk manager at the Ramada Inn on North Church Street.
The criminal complaints say he called both workers into Room 109 at separate times and forced them to have sex, telling one of them: "remember, you don't have your green card."
Police say he also touched and groped the women improperly, and told them no one would know because the surveillance camera faces away from his room.
Investigators say he also lives in Iselin, N.J., where he travels to visit a wife and kids. A homeland security agent is also helping with the case.
He was jailed on June 20 when the first charges were filed and bail is denied in the case.
