Police: Woman offers $800 to get out of cuffs now
WILKES-BARRE (WOLF) -- Police say a Nanticoke woman tried to bribe a Wilkes-Barre officer while in a drunken rage.
The criminal complaint says Jessica Sensebach, 28, called 9-1-1 around 4 a.m. Monday saying she was sexually assaulted, but when officers got to Beech Street, she actually just wanted a ride home.
Police say she started kicking the officer who she said was "fake," then fell into a porch head-first, and shook a police car from inside.
When the officer opened the squad car door to check on her, she said "I'll give you $800 right now!" and wanted him to take the handcuffs off her and let her go, the complaint said.
She posted a $15,000 bail on Wednesday, records show. She's facing charges including aggravated assault on a police officer, bribery, and filing a false report.
While on the same call, police say they arrested a man who walked into a street sign and spoke with slurred speech, who said he owned the SUV that Sensebach had been in.
Police say there was a black box with marijuana inside the SUV.
