Police: Dogs left out in single digit temperature seized
CONYNGHAM TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WOLF) -- Police say several dogs are now safe and warm after they responded to a call of animals left outside in the freezing temps.
The call came in on New Year's Eve involving a property in the 300 block of Cemetery Road near Wapwallopen, according to a report from PSP Shickshinny.
Police say they found dogs outside with no food, inadequate shelter, and the only water was frozen. Temperatures were in the single digits on Sunday.
Investigators say a search warrant was served, and dogs were seized and taken to the Luzerne County SPCA. Charges are pending.
