Plymouth man arrested for shooting in Wilkes-Barre
WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WOLF) —
Robert Rodriguez, a 23-year-old man from Plymouth, was arrested for a shooting that happened in Wilkes-Barre earlier this month.
Wilkes-Barre police responded to Parrish street for a reported shooting on February 2nd. Officers discovered a man suffering multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated. He is still recovering from his wounds.
Multiple police units investigated the incident and the suspect was identified as Robert Rodriguez who also went by the alias, Jay.
Rodriguez was discovered to be staying at a residence in Hanover Township. Upon surveillance, the suspect was seen leaving the residence in a pick-up truck. Police were able to pull him over and take him into custody without incident.
Rodriguez is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reckless endangerment, and weapons violations.
