UPDATE: One person is dead after a fire at a trailer in Susquehanna County.
It happened Monday morning in Lenox Township.
Neighbors tell us the home off State Route 2035 belonged to a husband and wife.
With official word on the identity of the person killed not expected until at least Tuesday, it's left some wondering exactly who was killed.
Twisted metal and the smell of smoke is that remains of a trailer that burst into flames early this morning in Susquehanna County.
"Didn't hear any sirens. Just saw the vehicles going by. Firetrucks, tanker truck, ambulance," neighbor Sandy Mihalis said.
When firefighters arrived on scene, the home was completely engulfed.
While they were putting the fire out, they noticed a car was parked in the driveway and wondered if someone was inside.
"Seemed to be a nice guy, from the few times that I met him," she added.
As they searched through what was left of the trailer, investigators found a body.
State Police haven't released the identity of the person killed.
However, it's left some wondering if it was in fact their neighbor up the road.
"Sad. Any time you hear it, it's sad," neighbor Bill House said.
"I'm hoping that it's not him or his wife. But, I don't know what to think. It's a shame. Regardless of who it was, that there had to be a loss of life," Mihalis added.
The fire remains under investigation.
