Mike Linden's Forecast | Winter kicks off ahead of schedule in NEPA
With the strong cold front now a thing of the past we can move into the rest of the work week with an early start to Winter in NEPA. From daytime highs in the mid to low 50s to the upper 30s, welcome to the rest of the year.
Following what was an odd November we'll move into the rest of December with cooler than normal temperatures and the possibility for winter weather this weekend. The rest of the work week will LOOK decent but won't feel so nice if you have to be outdoors. It's the time of year where a hat and gloves start to become a near lock to wear outdoors. It couldn't hurt to throw them in the backseat of the car just in case.
It's also important to understand that with even the slightest bit of wind temperatures can feel a whole lot colder. That'll especially be the case in the evening hours when temperatures fall below freezing and into the mid to low 20s.
Our next shot at active weather looks to be late Saturday into Sunday with the possibility for light snow showers. This doesn't have the look of anything significant but the chance will stick around into Monday of next week too.
Looking even further ahead, temperatures are primed to drop even more into Wednesday of next week with a possible run at single digit lows and daytime highs in the mid to low 20s.
Buckle (and bundle) up.
