Mike Linden's Forecast | Wet weather returns to NEPA
The countdown is now well and truly on as Summer officially comes to an end in 9 days as Fall takes over NEPA (even though it has felt like it for a couple weeks now).
Hump Day is once again going to be the turning point for our weather pattern for the rest of the work week. What's left of Irma is sitting over the Midwest keeping temperatures cooler than normal and bringing rain too. These conditions are likely to impact Pennsylvania over the next couple of days.
Temperature-wise we should feel just slightly warmer than normal in the mid to high 70s (average this time of year is around 74-75°) thanks to the warm air Irma has brought north. Along with the mild feel in the air, what's left of Irma will also produce showers, and a few thunderstorms, much like what we're seeing this afternoon.
We'll see the showers/storms diminish into Friday evening as drier air from the north arrives to save the day.
