Mike Linden's Forecast | Warm, unstable air leads to severe weather chance
Thursday (and this week as a whole) will go down in the record books. High temperatures once again soared into the mid to low 90s and upper 80s with numerous area records either tied or broken.
The warm, unstable air in place over the region will bite back into the evening hours as a portion of the region remains under a marginal risk for severe weather. The main threats out of this will be damaging winds and hail. An isolated tornado is possible too but doesn't figure to be the lead threat.
Behind this evening's storms cooler air begins to filter back into the Keystone State. High temperatures on Friday will slip back to the low 80s and we'll continue to average back out into the weekend too.
Despite the weekend cooldown we may also see a few pop-up thunderstorms but nothing widespread until Monday.
