Mike Linden's Forecast | Scattered snow showers stick around this weekend
It's been quite the week for Winter weather in NEPA as we close out the work week with passing snow showers across the region. While no heavy accumulations are expected, most will add on another half inch or so out of these passing showers for the lower valleys. Take it easy on the roads tonight as temperatures slide into the upper teens, low 20s once again.
As another cold front sweeps across Canada into the weekend, the possibility for some snow showers will once again emerge into Saturday and Sunday. The most likely timing for the passing of this front looks to be Saturday afternoon/evening into Sunday morning. Daytime highs should take a step in the right direction too into the mid 30s. While still cold, we may see some mixing in of wintry mix, especially on Sunday in the mid 30s.
Looking ahead to next week, temperatures will continue to recover into the mid to low 40s by Monday/Tuesday but another cold front will bring highs right back down into Wednesday.
It's been a colder than normal month so far and despite a little bump up into the weekend, our chilly (sometimes frigid) December rolls on.
Take it easy out there and drive safely!
