Marketplace at Steamtown hosts pop-up market
SCRANTON (WOLF) -- The Marketplace at Steamtown in Scranton is hosting two pop up events just in time for the holidays.
Its called the Scranton Public Market.
More than 40 future and potential tenants of the Marketplace set up shop on the second level of the mall today and will again next week to give shoppers a taste of what they can expect to see on a permanent basis next year.
The Marketplace says about a dozen of those vendors have committed to leasing space in the mall full time already.
“People want to see the new look. They want to see something open in the Marketplace and we’re delivering once again something that we’ve promised, so that in itself is exciting. However, you can come here on a daily basis, grab a bite to eat, get something for dinner, something for the weekend, a special gift. Obviously for the holidays, you can come here and also do some Christmas shopping which you see a lot behind me right now,” Marketplace General Manager Ben Lorenzetti said.
The pop up market will be open again next Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
