WILKES-BARRE (WOLF) -- A new read at Wilkes-Barre's library has several contributions from local writers.

The Osterhout Free Library just released its latest Word Fountain last week. This is the second issue since the literary magazine came back from hiatus last summer.

We spoke to a man from Ashley who had two poems accepted for the summer issue, and now has a poem called "The Metamorphosis" in the latest edition.

"I tried to do my take on a love poem because I find love poems to be flowery at times," says poet John Devers. "I tried to do one that was very real, very to the point, but also take on the general anxieties that people feel. If you're with the right person, those anxieties don't matter."

Devers says a creative writing class he took while studying at Penn State Wilkes-Barre helped spark his interest in poems. A total of 25 people contributed to the booklet.
