Controversial Wilkes-Barre club shut down for code violations
WILKES-BARRE (WOLF) -- A controversial Wilkes-Barre nightclub was shut down yesterday for code violations.
A sign on the door of Ali Baba Liquor Lounge posted by the city's Code Enforcement says that the club is "unfit for human habitation."
According to our newsgathering partners at the Times Leader, a building code official says that the owners made changes to the building without securing proper permits.
A post on the club's Facebook page says its a minor issue having to do with a wall that was taken down -- and that it will be back up and running "in no time."
Ali Baba Liquor Lounge most recently made headlines for booking rapper Tekashi Six Nine, who is currently awaiting sentencing on charges related to a child-sex video he took part in.
That performance has since been cancelled.
