Car crash in North Union Twp. leaves one dead, two injured
NORTH UNION TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WOLF) —
One person was killed on State Route 1005 Wednesday night in Schuylkill County.
State police say the car was traveling southbound around 10 p.m. when the driver Dominic Mott, 24, of Hazleton says he lost control of the car due to the wet road.
The car exited the left-side of the roadway and struck several large rocks.
Troopers say the collision with the rocks caused the car to flip over several times before coming to a rest.
Robert Wolk, 24, of Sugarloaf, was sitting in the back seat and was ejected from the car during the roll-over. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
PSP add that 20-year-old Ceara Correia of Hazleton, the front-seat passenger, and Mott were taken to a local hospital for reported injuries.
This is an on-going investigation.
