Bridge remains open following PennDOT truck striking into it
LUZERNE COUNTY (WOLF) —
A bridge is still open after a PennDOT truck slammed into it on Interstate 81 South near Hazleton Monday.
According to the District Bridge Engineer Gerard Babinski, there are no significant damages and the bridge will remain open.
Sam Galeante, Assistant Maintenance Manager, said that the box fell off of the truck and hit the bridge.
PennDOT says no one was injured and the box had to be towed.
PennDOT is still investigating the cause.
