Dubbed by USA Today as a "modern-day untouchable" following one of the most successful prosecutions of crime bosses, including Philadelphia's boss Little Nicky Scarfo, former Federal Prosecutor and Deputy Attorney General Joe Peters was the guest on The Volpe Report on Sunday, March 11, 2018, on FOX56.

Mr. Peters is now a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in the newly-created 8th Congressional District, which includes much of Lackawanna and Luzerne counties.

Program note: Sunday's show was recorded before the new district lines were implemented and Peters was then a candidate in what was the 11th District.

A crime fighter for most of his adult life, Mr. Peters also worked as deputy drug czar under Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

"I'm owned by nobody," Mr. Peters declared. "I'm going to go down there and represent the people of this district," he added.
